Military Product Update
In our continuing efforts to offer the highest quality Military Packaging Products, Berry Plastics Tapes and Coatings Division is developing two new items. The first is designated Filmpak 7010 and it is designed to meet all of the specifications set forth in MIL-PRF-22191E Type 1. Commercial launch of this product is scheduled for the second quarter of this year.
The second product is designated Marvelseal® 1311B and it is designed to meet all of the specifications set forth in MIL-PRF-131K Class 3. Marvelseal® 1311B is scheduled for commercial launch at the end of the second quarter of this year.
STATEMENT RELEASED BY COVALENCE SPECIALTY MATERIALS CORPORATION
February 6, 2007, Covalence Specialty Materials announced the intent to exit the Coated Products Material Handling business and close the Meridian, Mississippi manufacturing facility. As the business environment is becoming more and more competitive every day, it is imperative that we look for ways to reduce costs, deliver more value to our customers, and create a business that demonstrates solid and sustainable performance and growth. The decision to exit Material Handling and close Meridian is effective immediately. The exit from Material Handling will take several months to complete and the closure of Meridian will begin immediately with completion anticipated by the end of March.
